Redesigned Logo & Social Media Icon Suite

Above are my two redesigned logos for loghome.com and timberhomeliving.com as well as the accompanying redesigned social media icons for use across Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. The goal was to create a unified message and consistent look and feel across the main brand’s three digital sub brands which represent the three different building styles the parent brand “Log & Timber Home Living” covers.

Original Logo Suite & Brand Colors

Above you see the original logos and social media icons that needed to be redesigned for the three digital sub brands, Log Home Living, Timber Home Living and Cabin Life. There were a few main design and branding problems here that needed to be addressed. First, the inconsistent versions and treatments of the logos created a brand messaging problem. Second, the colors felt too bright and “primary” or “elementary” for what the brands were trying to be. Third, the social media iconography didn’t accurately represent or distinguish the differences between the three building styles.

Redesigned Logos & Iconography

In my redesigned branding above, you’ll see I addressed all of the issues from the original designs. The two main sub brands, Log Home Living & Timber Home Living, got new singular logos that can be used for any purpose and which also connects the idea that these are sub brands to the main parent brand. While Cabin Life didn’t get a new logo, it did get a new color treatment and social media icon to bring it in line with the new theme. The colors are all darker and more natural feeling now which better represents the building concept of “out of the earth.” The icons are now more clearly distinguishable and impactful by clearly represent the different home building styles.

Redesigned Website Graphics

Above you’ll see the redesigned “House” ad graphics for the three different websites to go along with the new branding. These were created to have a consistent look and feel across the three sites. See how these look and are used in the actual websites below.
